Transmission towers serve as support structures for overhead power lines. When a single circuit is installed on a transmission tower, it’s called a single-circuit transmission tower; when two circuits are installed on the same tower, it’s referred to as a double-circuit transmission tower. A single circuit means that a single load is supplied by one power source; a double circuit means that a single load is supplied by two separate power sources. Generally, enterprises with high requirements for power supply reliability or critical regional substations typically adopt dual-circuit power supply systems. This setup ensures that if one power source fails for any reason, the other source can continue to provide power, thereby maintaining uninterrupted service. However, for most small and medium-sized users whose power supply reliability requirements are relatively low, a single-power-source supply is often sufficient.
